Mit seinem Wissen aus der modernen Welt und Annas Fähigkeiten kann er diese Welt locker hunderte Jahre in die Zukunft bringen. Und das ist auch nötig, denn neben einem Thronfolgekrieg zwischen ihm und seinen Geschwistern hat auch die Kirche ihre eigenen Pläne. Noch dazu taucht jeden Winter ein geheimnisvoller Gegner auf. An Feinden fehlt es ihm also definitiv nicht!
