Die junge Kouran schleicht sich in den Palast, um etwas Wertvolles zu stehlen, damit ihr Dorf die enorm hohen Steuern zahlen kann. Dabei stößt sie mit einem jungen Mann zusammen und ist am Ende froh, wieder heil aus dem Palast herausgekommen zu sein. Doch am nächsten Tag verbreitet sich die Neuigkeit, dass der Kronprinz letzte Nacht ermordet worden sei und überall wird nach dem jungen Mann gesucht.

Ein hohes Kopfgeld wurde auf den Mörder ausgesetzt und Kouran wittert eine Chance, um ihr Dorf zu retten. Sie findet den Gesuchten, aber kann sie ihn auch ausliefern?
