Die Studentin Mari befindet sich plötzlich auf einem Schlachtfeld und wird von den Rittern in ihrer Umgebung als „königliche Hoheit“ bezeichnet. Mari führt ihre Armee letztlich in den Sieg und muss feststellen, dass sie die eigentliche Königin ersetzt hat! Später begreift sie den Grund für den Krieg: Es war die ungerechte Art, wie die Königin ihr Land regierte sowie ihr Missbrauch der Steuern ihrer Untertanen.

Da eine Rückkehr in ihre eigene Welt nicht möglich erscheint, entscheidet Mari sich dazu, das ruinierte Königreich wieder aufzubauen. Auf dem Weg dahin, findet sie neue, treue Gefährten sowie ihre wahre Liebe.
