Marika is living the normal life of the average girl in space: attending her school’s yacht club, keeping up with the latest trends, and working part time at the Cafe Lamp. One day can change a lot, however, and Marika is about to find out first hand the horrors of life interrupted. Not only was her late father a notorious space pirate, but he was also the Captain of the equally notorious Benten Maru! What’s worse, she’s just inherited his position and the pirate’s life that comes with it.
Die lebensfrohe Oberschülerin Marika verbringt ihre Freizeit im Weltraum-Yachtclub und mit ihrem Teilzeitjob in einem vornehmen Retro-Café. Eines Tages tauchen eine Frau und ein Mann bei ihr auf, die sich als Untergebene ihres Vaters ausgeben und ihr eröffnen, dass sie gemäß der Nachfolgeregelung dazu bestimmt ist, das Kommando des Weltraumpiratenschiffs Bentenmaru zu übernehmen. Von dieser Neuigkeit überfordert, bleibt Marika jedoch keine Zeit, sich über die Folgen und Möglichkeiten dieser Neuigkeit klar zu werden, denn schon bald zeigen sich die ersten unangenehmen Seiten ihrer neuen, ihr vorherbestimmten Position.
